CCTV Monitor Pro ("the App") is a tool that lets you connect to and monitor your own CCTV systems (Frigate, ZoneMinder, iSpy Agent DVR) directly from your mobile device. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles, how it is stored, and what is never collected.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. Specifically:

No user accounts or registration are required.
No video footage, camera snapshots, or recordings are ever uploaded to us.
No usage analytics or behavioural data are collected by us.
No advertising identifiers are used.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All configuration data is stored exclusively on your device:

System configuration (server addresses, ports, system names) — stored in the device's local preferences.
Credentials (usernames, passwords, SSH keys) — stored in the device's encrypted secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Secure Enclave).
App preferences (language, theme, kiosk mode) — stored in the device's local preferences.

This data never leaves your device except to authenticate directly with your own servers.

3. Network Connections

The App connects only to servers that you configure. All network traffic goes directly between your device and your own infrastructure. We do not act as a relay, proxy, or intermediary for any camera data.

If you use the SSH tunnel feature, the App establishes an encrypted SSH connection to a server of your choice using credentials you provide.

4. Crash Reporting (Sentry)

On Android and iOS, the App uses Sentry for crash and error reporting. If the App crashes or encounters an unhandled error, an anonymous report is sent to Sentry containing:

The exception type and stack trace.
Device model, OS version, and App version.
A random, non-identifiable device ID generated by Sentry.

No server addresses, credentials, camera data, or personally identifiable information are included in crash reports. Crash reporting is disabled on desktop platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS).

5. Permissions

The App requests only the permissions required for its core functionality:

Internet — to connect to your CCTV servers.
Network state — to detect connectivity changes.

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or any other sensitive device resource.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
